What We Do

Since coming together in 1987, coalition members and community leaders have been joining each other to bring their voices together to create a shared policy agenda to help people in our communities meet their basic human needs. 

Over the years, members and collaborative partners have urged our government officials to invest in community health and human services that alleviate hunger, homelessness, domestic violence, youth violence, institutional racism and economic inequality, or to change policies in order to reduce the need for emergency services. 

Our work together includes educating policy makers on current issues within the human services community, writing and publishing op-eds on issues affecting the well-being of our communities, monitoring and analyzing City and County policies that affect residents, distributing information and mobilizing community members as well as building partnerships with City and County governmental leaders to help bridge our goals.
